This game is the ninth playoff game between the two, an NFL record, and it's one where San Francisco is looking to win for multiple reasons.įor starters, a win would give the Niners the 5-4 edge in the series and more importantly, it would help avenge a Week 3 loss wherein they scored with too much time left on the clock, allowing Green Bay to march down the field and kick a field goal to win the game. It's fitting that when the Packers and 49ers meet in the NFC divisional round on Saturday, there'll be history afoot at Lambeau Field.
